EXACT LIBRIS ANNOUNCED AS SPONSOR OF GROWTH INVESTOR AWARDS 2020

Wednesday 21 October – The Growth Investor Awards 2020 announces its first fully digital event with the inclusion of EXACT LIBRIS as sponsor for the categories of Best Business Relief Manager of the Year (listed) and Best Business Relief Manager of the Year (unlisted).

The complications of Covid-19 have presented a challenge this year as large gatherings of the usual 500+ who normally attend these respected awards, still look some way off. But the organisers are determined to honour the important achievements of individuals and companies putting investment to work in the small business community in this most testing of years.

In this sixth year of recognising the players helping ambitious SMEs contributing to the lifeblood of the UK economy, Exact has thrown its weight behind the Best Business Relief Manager of the Year (listed) and Best Business Relief Manager of the Year (unlisted) awards.

Gary Butcher, Chief Executive Officer at the firm, explains why: “ Our customers use the Libris software for their Business Relief processes and it’s great to see so many of their names among shortlisted entrants. Tax incentives have played a massive role in directing funding to growing companies over the last few decades and Business Relief has proved itself to be an important supporter of growth journeys for over 40 years. It’s tried and tested and right now, when not a lot is certain, that’s a major positive. The best Business Relief managers are helping to identify, steady and fuel the companies that have the greatest potential to reinvigorate the UK economy and their work deserves high praise.”

The judging panel for the Best Business Relief Manager of the Year (listed) and Best Business Relief Manager of the Year (unlisted) awards will certainly be interested in managers demonstrating successful investee selection, high levels of impact on investees, with notable performance, positive adviser and investor relations and good investment volumes.

Guy Tolhurst, managing director at Intelligent Partnership, the organiser of the awards says, “Growth in any economy is very significantly linked to SMEs and their power to generate new employment opportunities, innovation and income, but right now they are struggling to stay afloat through no fault of their own. That’s why their continued contribution to productivity, wealth and job creation is crucial and that makes successful growth investors more important than ever.”

He adds: “This year we’ve expanded our awards categories to ensure every deserving party is acknowledged. While the ceremony won’t be our normal meal and dancing, this year there will be no late night taxis to get home. But the numbers will be unlimited as our online audience enjoys thoughts and insights from special guests while we reveal the winners.”
