The Entrepreneur Network (TEN), a think tank for the ambitious owners of Britain’s fastest growing businesses, has added its support to the campaign to find the UK’s Growth Champions.

Guy Tolhurst, IP’s Managing Director, commented: “Intelligent Partnership supports The Entrepreneur Network in its education of both policymakers and entrepreneurs, and I’m delighted that it has joined the Growth Investor Awards campaign to celebrate innovation and impact in SME investment management.”

The Entrepreneurs Network is an independent, non-profit and non-partisan organisation that sits within the Adam Smith Institute, one of the world’s leading think tanks.

Philip Salter, Director at TEN, commented: “Through research, events and the media, we bridge the gap between entrepreneurs and policymakers to help make Britain the best place in the world to start and grow a business. TEN is delighted to support the Growth Investor Awards in its campaign to recognise the importance of schemes like EIS and SEIS and how they enable entrepreneurs to scale – creating jobs and driving innovation.”

Sponsored by Smith & Williamson, the Growth Champion of the Year award recognises scale up businesses and their founders or CEOs. This new award is open to any UK-based scale-up with a turnover of no less than £3m in 2016 that has best used EIS, SEIS or VCT investment for growth. Focusing on how the investment and associated support has been optimised, judges will consider a range of growth metrics including revenues and job creation. The panel will also look at how investment has been deployed to enable future growth.
